Super Mario World has an extremely eclectic art style whereby many enemies are drawn in completely different ways. Development files reveal Mario went through many stylistic changes; it is possible that all the enemies were made to fit Mario, but at different points in time.

Hey, happy 30th birthday GameFAQs! Launched on November 5th, 1995!

The earliest scrape I can find on Wayback is December 1996, but I doubt the site changed much. But yes, here it is in its earliest days as the Video Game FAQ Archive!

Just use Linux at this point. Find a way to make it work. Those live service games don’t deserve your usage either. Nor does Adobe if you’re still paying them.

It's hip to be square - the Nintendo difference. Though perhaps not enough at the time for the GameCube when bigger and silvery or sleek black was the in thing.

How 'luggable' it is with the handle always makes me think back to PC luggables.

This is a neat bit of gaming history: an ad for M.U.D, the game that would give it's name to what would become a genre of early online multiplayer RPGs: Multi User Dungeons.

First played in 1978 over ARPANET, precursor to the Internet, before becoming available on home computers via Telnet.

Remember: If we allow ourselves to fall into fatalism, or wallow in disappointment, or become resigned to what is rather than what should be, we will lose the long game.
