Looking up at the towers and turrets of Neuschwanstein Castle covered in snow. There is a forest on the hill at its base which is also completely covered in snow. The entire image is shades of white and looks so pure and pretty.

I've always found this castle (Neuschwanstein) in Bavaria fascinating. It's not 'old' by castle standards, built in the 19th century to emulate the castles of olde, and the owner was a strange hermit of a man.

A bird roughly the size and shape of a robin, but with a white breast with large dark spots. The throat is also white, with dark streaks and spots. The visible part of the head is mostly a streaky brown. The eye is large and dark, with a thin eye ring. The head is cocked up a bit, much as robins do. The back and folded wings are dark brown. The belly is white. At this angle, the tail looks mostly dark brown. The thrush is perched on a bare red branch, with additional but blurred branches in the foreground and background.

Blue-sky! Such a relief. Had a quick walk around Lyme Regis looking for Black Redstarts, with no success. Lots of Buzzards, Kestrels and a few Bullfinches, Woodpeckers and Blackcaps were a pleasure to see. #UKBirding

Red Shouldered Hawk with a squirrel…hard to photograph this as the squirrel was still crying a little but I am a recorder of nature and I do not interfere. Plus, the squirrel was dying.
