Pronouns are Fuck/You. I want to hit a lot of people with a big rock. I like to post pictures but a lot of them are like 10+ years old because I hoard old data so if you know the sources feel free to point them out in comments or whatever.

Any time I watch Akira, i wonder why Dômu hasn't been made into an anime yet.

It's proto-Akira, with a much less sprawling story to adapt. Perfect length for a movie imo.

If you never red it, it's an absolute masterpiece.

I love the work of Stanhope Forbes. This piece, especially, very poignant tonight. The way he captures the light, the weariness of the adults, and the wonder on the faces of the children. I think it is rather beautiful. 🖼️

More art!

This one is "The Derby Day", by William Frith. Depicts a day at the races back in Victorian England. Do you see the mummer trying to induce his son into an act? The boy is much more interested in the giant pork pie being laid out for a picnic.

This is the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere by Grant Wood, one of my favourites of American scene painting (aside from the works of Norman Rockwell, who is the GOAT)

No, I 100% agree that computer RPGs these days have too much handholding. I, too, yearn for the days of being able to spend hours crafting my perfect build from hundreds of available options, only to discover that it mathematically cannot survive the mandatory rat fight portion of the first dungeon.
