My name is Tracy Banaszynski. I ran for Kenmore City Council in 2025. Here to connect with you and keep making Kenmore and the world a better place.
Noticing this as well.
King County is dismantling its climate office and the Governor wants to divert hundreds of millions in climate funding. Nothing to see here.

The more you know.
The MAGA billionaires who own CBS news killed this 60 Minutes expose on the El Salvador torture prison that Trump illegally disappeared innocent people to.

They tried to bury this story, but a Canadian affiliate accidentally aired it as planned, so now you can watch a recording of it here:

"Love your neighbor has nothing to do with proximity." –Rick Steves

This is how you lead.
It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

Twelve Trees: The Deep Roots of Our Future by Daniel Lewis

Wanted to love this book, but didn’t. More scientific information and less anthropocentric discourse might have made it more interesting to me.

The data points that roll in continue to be disappointing. Building a better world requires questioning the status quo and charting a different course when necessary, not enabling it.
I keep going back to Bob Ferguson's press conference yesterday. No mention of making safety investments to prevent wholly preventable road deaths. No mention of people who don't drive places, no mention of public transit. We've gone backwards.

The race for Kenmore City Council Position 2 is getting tighter and tighter! We are continuing to close the gap and probably won’t know the outcome for sure until every last vote is counted. Will this be the closest race in Kenmore history? (1/3)

We are still very much in this! Thank you, Kenmore!
Meanwhile in Kenmore, progressive council candidate @tracyforkenmore.bsky.social is now just 37 votes behind her opponent, Joe Marshall.

Vote totals have been fluctuating since Election Night. As of tonight, we are within 2% of the incumbent — and still very much in the game. King County Elections estimates there are ~1,000 ballots yet to be counted. We are staying hopeful for more good news next week. (1/5)

This one leaves us without words. Thank you Juliana for seeing the heart of our campaign. We are all connected. We need each other. These aren't platitudes. This is what it is to be alive and in community. NO ONE gets left behind. Everyone deserves care. We're all in this together.

Time to vote!

Being in the presence of State Rep Davina Duerr feels like magic, because she gets that housing, climate change, and social and environmental justice are interconnected. She knows – just like us – that so much is possible when we see the whole and work together. We're grateful for her support!

For over a decade, Kenmore Mayor Nigel Herbig has been a leader on transportation, affordable housing, the environment, and government transparency. We are honored that he sees our campaign's values as those Kenmore needs to navigate the next four years together and for his endorsement! Thank you! ❤️

It does, indeed, turn out that what's good for salmon is good for people, and Kenmore is lucky to have important salmon habitat in our care. We're looking forward to keeping salmon a vibrant part of the Puget Sound Region with you – we wouldn't be us without them. 🐟🌲🌊🏡

If we give them healthy habitat back, they will use it 🐟❤️

Today is the final day the USPS recommends mailing your ballot in.

MAGA attacks on the postal service mean that if you mail it after today, it may not be counted.

If you can’t mail today, turn it in at your nearest ballot drop box, locations can be found here: www.sos.wa.gov/elections/vo...

Thank you to the local and state leaders who have joined our our campaign for a welcoming, affordable city; salmon swimming in our creeks; a budget that reflects Kenmore's values and needs; and seeing the best in one another. Everyone is welcome – We would be honored for you to join us, too! 🤝🐼
