Can someone explain to me how it is possible that while European leaders are negotiating peace and expecting some sort of security guarantees from USA for Ukraine at the same time they are expecting or preparing for USA invasion of Greenland?

Maybe the greatest example of the bizarro world in which we now live is that European states are maintaining the dangerous fiction that the US would fight for them, when the more likely use of US military force would be to kick Europe out of Greenland.

Why conceding Crimea end the war? It might lead to a ceasefire for some time during which Russia will reposition and strengthen its troops and units. Then when that is done, they start again. They have said it numerous times what their goals are:

After the cold war US along others gave Ukraine guarantees in exchange for their nukes. They did not stand up for those guarantees in 2014 when Russia invaded Crimea. Now Trump is blaming Ukraine for not fighting back then.

It is absolutely right that we do not need Greenland (or Canada) for natsec reasons because they are already close NATO allies. So the only rationale to turn the US into an aggressor in our own hemisphere is if you don’t plan on NATO being a US alliance in the future.

How long will it take for Trump, Musk, Vance etc. to set up a private army which is loyal and responsible only for them? I wouldn't be surprised if we saw proud boys and capitol rioters forming such at some point

One thing I completely agree with Trump's government is that it truly is time for Europe to step up and take the responsibility of the continent's defence. Conventional and unconventional. It is unforgivable that they ever let their guard down except few countries.

Sad and terrifying to see how USA is slowly moving towards being a part of axis of evil. Nation that speaks about protecting the free world is blackmailing its allies and partners. I guess their free world ends at their borders. It is really time for EU to wake up.
