One thing I've noticed following news closely for 20 years now is that any time we have occasion to look closely at police behavior, we find incompetence. They don't prevent crimes, they don't solve crimes, they suck terribly at their actual job. There are exceptions, but that is the rule.
for all of the praise of law enforcement we've seen since Saturday, it's now clear cops had at least two opportunities to prevent Vance Boelter from murdering Melissa Hortman and her husband but failed to do so.
