If ChatGPT ever needs to be personified in a movie - it should be played by Seth Rogan

Or rather, scenes of Seth Rogan stolen from his earlier films.

DOGE was created for data theft and infrastructure dismantling and it wildly succeeded on both counts within the first few weeks of its existence. It will take a generation to rebuild what it destroyed and the breach of data is unprecedented.
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It no longer exists as a “centralized entity”, according to the Office of Personnel Management.

#Pluribus is summing up pretty well my experience of no longer being on Facebook or Twitter.

Though the Joined in Pluribus are nicer.

Short 🧵: One thing I don't see discussed regarding the whole likely implosion of the AI bubble is that Silicon Valley brought this upon itself by profoundly misunderstanding where human beings are at right now.

I second and third this.

It has some great pastiches and some of Paul Williams' best on and off screen work - I've begun to realise how underrated he is now.
LRS: Listen, I love Rocky Horror and was even in a stage production of it once, but Phantom of the Paradise deserves the same amount of cult movie fame and it makes me sad that so few people comparatively have seen it.

Anyway, Phantom of the Paradise absolutely fucks, please watch it

ChatGPT is doing everything 80s parents thought heavy metal and D&D did and I wish this was hyperbole
Panera’s moderately caffeinated lemonade was loosely associated with 2 deaths before it was taken off market.

This article alone has 4 examples of ChatGPT encouraging young people to commit suicide, and OpenAI’s own public stats estimate over a million users discuss suicide with ChatGPT each week.
I fully believe in the corporate death penalty and believe we would be a better world if OpenAI lost its corporate charter and was forcibly dissolved.

Urgent - if you haven't seen it, catch it whilst you can
It has come to my attention that Isa Mazzei and Daniel Goldhaber's very good techno-horror CAM will apparently be leaving Netflix on 15th November, seven years after being purchased by the streamer.

Go watch CAM while you can!
