CalRecycle's latest attempt at rules to implement the state's plastic waste law is under fire — including for its decision to use ISO guidelines on hazardous waste that cost nearly $200 to access.

The average American pays: $.62/yr for the National Endowment for the Arts & $1.35/year for the Corp. for Public Broadcasting (< 1 cup of joe) Maybe we should focus on the $3707 average (incl. $6 for space x contracts) we each paid in 2024 towards the military budget!? Perspective much?

& this is a component of clean energy infrastructure too. Need to smelt it without coal, which besides being the dirtiest energy is also very expensive and why a plant in MO closed last year. Canada supplies 50% now this article says. Make local but with clean energy..too much sense for this prez?

Wish ca net metering cuts had nothing to do with it, but good news for those ready to invest. Best thing we've done getting solar and storage years ago. No blackouts, stay off grid a lot in spring and early summer especially, use battery during peak hours. Energy sage provides lots of good info.

Taking it personal since I pushed for this ban on gas 2stroke engines which causes outsized harm to air & health in a state with terrible air quality. Fight, CA, for this and the cleaner trucks...for communities, drivers, workers. And keep the strong $ incentives needed to help make the transition!

Again, PJM is seeing LMPs of $100/MWh, driven largely by Dominion's $400/MWh, which are in turn driven largely by $1200-$1400/MWh prices from NoVA's data centers.
