DA Bregman: If ICE comes in without a warrant, without reasonable suspicion, without probable cause, that is false imprisonment in New Mexico. You can’t confine, restrain, or detain someone without proper legal authority to do so. And there’s no exception for law enforcement.

Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

If fully armed, fully kevlared ICE agents are afraid of peaceful protesters, maybe they shd look for a new line of work. Last time I looked, Americans weren’t the enemy. What happened to the criminals ICE was supposed to be targeting?! Nothing great about this America!
