As far as I know, this is the first time a Maine outlet has aired the idea that Susan Collins might be culpable for women dying due to the foreseen consequences of ending Roe.

From the letters page -- the only place in Maine legacy media you'll find unvarnished discussion of Collins. #mepolitics

If you’d told me on Jan 6th 2021 that the man responsible for that horrific attack would end up returning to the office he tried to steal that day, and that he’d do so after calling the attackers “heroes” & “hostages” he was going to pardon, I’d have thought you were out of your damn mind.

And yet…

Say whatever you want about the ethics of Biden pardoning Hunter— but if you believe that Donald Trump was sitting by waiting for this in order to decide what he’d do you’re delusional.

Trump will always do what he wants, regardless of if he has permission.

I sure wish the media had covered Trump pardoning his co-conspirators and family members the way they're covering Hunter Biden today. They could even do it today.

But they won't.

It’s almost cute listening to the media propound how Hunter Biden’s pardon will somehow provide Trump “cover” for his own moves. They conveniently forget Trump’s pardons of Flynn, Bannon, Manafort and Stone. Whoever Trump pardons in the future, Hunter’s situation will have ZERO bearing on them!

New data on farms and inheritance tax: a third of farm estates over £1.5m aren’t farmers but wealthy people avoiding IHT by sinking money into farmland.

The Budget hits farmers too hard and tax avoiders too lightly. It needs to change.

Lowering the value of farming land is entirely in the best interests of traditional farming families looking to "keep it in the family"

It's not in the interest of those seeking to exploit the IHT exemption or those hoping to sell their land for development.
