I thought the Trump administration was all about kleptocracy & autocracy, but it appears that pedophilia was even more important.
How can such a crew rule the US?
Sadly, the US has no checks and balances unlike actual democracies.

Pedophile Epstein was well connected to much of the US establishment, mainly to republicans & most of all to Trump.
If the US had a functioning legal system (which it does not), dozens of US top officials, mainly in finance & GOP, would be prosecuted.

Waiting.

New from OpenSecrets:

Countries invited to President Trump’s “Board of Peace for Gaza” represented a good chunk of foreign lobbying spending in the US in 2024 and an even larger share in 2025 to date.

Our analysis breaks down who lobbied, how much was spent, and who stayed on the sidelines.

Great 🧵
I think they are beautiful 🐸💚
Be sure to zoom in and really drink deep of the majesty of the purple frog (Nasikabatrachus sahyadrensis), also called the pignose frog.

They're native to southern India & have some really unusual adaptations to their life cycle. I promise their bizarre shape will make sense.

It would be a good idea to establish elementary rule of law in the US:
1. Prohibit any law enforcement officers appear in masks, armed, without ID or name tags.
2. Demand that supreme court justices comply with elementary conflict of interest rules. /1

If true, this could explain a lot: Epstein’s mysterious money; the wire transactions to former Soviet states; Trump’s submissiveness around Putin.
Epstein's sex empire was 'KGB honeytrap'
The release of more than three million new documents relating to the late sex offender gives credence to claims made by senior security officials: that Epstein was working on behalf of Moscow.

Corruption, plain and simple.

Steve Witkoff, David Sacks, and Howard Lutnick must testify in front of Congress.

And Congress needs to grow a spine and put a stop to Trump’s crypto corruption.

Brazil did something that few democracies achieve: It convicted a former president of attempting a coup. How did the country’s courts hold would-be autocrat Jair Bolsonaro accountable when so many other coup plotters go unpunished?

Trump's number one priority has been to make the wealthy, wealthier—it has never been the millions of young Americans looking to buy their first home.

He’s giving the middle finger to our youngest generation. @democrats.senate.gov are focused on making homeownership possible for everyone.
Trump: "People that own their homes -- we're gonna keep them wealthy. We're gonna keep those prices up. We're not gonna destroy the value of their homes so that somebody who didn't work very hard can buy a home."

Life under authoritarianism can feel normal, if you redefine normal, until dissent is silenced & fear takes hold. Routines continue, but freedoms erode. Only when people start disappearing, arrested without cause, taken in the night, or never heard from again, does the illusion of normalcy shatter.
