Feels worth mentioning: highly recommend the enchanting memoir (especially in audio) AS YOU WISH by Cary Elwes. Rob Reiner wrote the intro and the entire story is a warm blanket of comfort 📚 🎧 #Audiobook #Booksky

On new BC and I’ve now had my period for 2 weeks. Nurse told me I’m still in the adjustment period and should keep taking the pill as usual, despite vomiting/nausea. Women’s healthcare is such a mess #PCOS

Watching the Percy Jackson “podcast” after the new episodes is wild because they’ll show s1 clips with baby Walker and then switch immediately to him now, with his deeper voice and it really shows how fast these kids have aged

When an extrovert adopts an introvert
Ever met someone who, after an initial conversation, is like “we’re friends now” and despite the general overuse of that declaration, it turned out to be true? I love it when that happens. And when you try to let them off the hook, they’re like “Didn’t you hear me? We are friends now.”

also, i can recommend audiobook + puzzle. it got me through the pandemic, and it's very relaxing.
Hey if you cancelled a bunch of services and are going “now what”, can I recommend an audiobook and fiber art combo. Good for your brain, good for your hands, you get something squishy at the end! There’s no downside. None at all. You’re absolutely not going to go into yarn debt. Haha.

This is how I feel about the Chicago Cubs and, well, *gestures at everything*
it is my sincere belief that the amount of success for the Houston rockets and good outcomes in USA national politics are inversely proportional to one another and when one improves the other will infallibly worsen
Tell me something you’re superstitious about. Doesn’t have to be negative.

In honor of #RebuildtheGalaxy #PiecesOfThePast, I drew my favorite LEGO Star Wars character: Zander Freemaker, Superstar Pilot Guy!
(2 versions because I’m not 100% happy with the first and the second makes me laugh)

I knew I was reading more this year but dang I’ve already read more than I did all of last year and it’s only June 😮

A local library received complaints about its Candyland decorations for summer reading because “rainbows are sexual.” Must be June. #PrideMonth

I miss working with so many older women. They were so lovely and so sick of the world at the same time and I learned so much about what was coming my way.

Librarians, have you seen a drop in library use, particularly program attendance over the last 2-3 months? What do you attribute this to? #librarylife #libraries

Truly one of the best library presentations I’ve seen in a long time. Fun but also insightful and incredibly well-researched. As a librarian I also admire how easily he used it to promote library resources. So glad I made the drive out!

For the first time in almost 10 years of public speaking, I forgot my laptop. Not just forgot it at home, forgot I even had a virtual component of the class. Thankfully the library had one for me to use and I have a backup in the cloud, but this is not a good sign for future classes. #perimenopause

Second weekend of closing sales at Joann’s. Most things are still 20% off but for yarn especially I don’t recommend waiting. Probably the most people I’ve seen here in a long time.

I’m leading an intergenerational embroidery program starting Wednesday at Art On Sedgwick for After School Matters. It’s free. You should sign up! Me and teens and embroidery and you = epic.
