After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.
This SHOULD be fairly obvious but is worth repeating.
Political murder outside of the context of armed conflict has negative effects for many people far beyond the person slain. I think this is fairly obvious from the fallout. Once you start thinking this way the justifications for killing get from genocidaires to people you just don’t like very fast.
