In 2026 I want all of the decent people to remember one thing.

You aren’t meant to be this disciplined, this self-sacrificing to survive. The environment is supposed to support good living. We can have that. You are not a failure. That is politics.

That is all.

hey friends let’s go make someone’s new year a little better, shall we?
Izolde is a delightful trans woman who comes to the trans nerd meet up regularly, and a valued member of the community.

Alas, she's going thru a rough patch. And it's the end of the month, and a shitty time to be seeking a job and new housing. Can you please help her survive until January? <3
rent fundraiser for this month, b/c it's mid-december and i'm still unemployed and at this point that is not changing before year end. i will bring in *some* amount of money this month but atm i'm assuming it's not gonna be a ton.

End of the month so time to launder all the rando things like that one sweater that fell on the floor of the closet that a cat has turned into a nest.

Flu numbers are high in most states and almost all cases are variants of H3N2 and the vaccine includes H3N2

Get your flu vax if you haven’t already! Even if you still get the flu, the symptoms will be easier to manage if you get vaccinated!

When I drive teens to school, sometimes they see a cyber truck and they SCREAM and declare they have good luck all day while laughing at the goofuses driving them. Teens are undefeated.

For a decent starter Ultramarines squad painted by YOURS TRULY and wants to donate some money to the Atlanta Community Food Bank, DM me

I'll give it all to them and ship some blue boys your way.

(This is about $650 worth of stuff so let's start there)

Today I took a nap with the cat nap concierges - actual cats because they support warm nap choices.

We’re conditioned to believe our smallest contributions wont make a difference. That our $5 wont help. That a couple cans of veggies wont help. That one coat & a pair of shoes aren’t worth donating. It all counts. This is a reminder to myself as well.

In addition to money donations to food banks & food aid for people, please also consider donating money or food & litter to pet food pantries. Many people who rely on SNAP to feed themselves will now need to redirect $ to buy groceries that they would have spent on pet food before.

I'm starting to see multiple threads where bluesky folks are trying to raise money for their local food banks because of the shutdown of SNAP starting November 1... can we get a thread going for people to find each other? Drop your link and put your city in front, let's coordinate city by city!

At the food pantry I volunteer at we were absolutely swamped today and by many first timers. We ran out of whole categories of food. Please donate cash to your local organization if you at all can.

Every week I make my little paintings of places I imagine or if things I conjure up from my memories. They are not especially good but I have a great time making them.
