Yes you were - though not necessarily just naive. It’s not as though there were not plenty of warnings about the risks

President Macron:
“We were very naive to leave our public space to social media networks controlled by US or Chinese companies that don’t share our interests and not interested in survival of our democracies.”

NEW: The U.K. government is reportedly once again requesting Apple build a backdoor so government officials can access end-to-end encrypted iCloud backups in the U.K.

Last time this happened, Apple disabled iCloud's Advanced Data Protection, the opt-in feature that lets users encypt cloud backups.

So what was one of the main motivators behind the far-right violence in The Hague last weekend? A fake antifa page that’s thought to be linked to the far right that claimed there’d be a counterdemo that no Dutch antifascists actually knew about

This is best story by far about the SIM farm uncovered in New York by Secret Service. The intent of the farm is not, as suggested by other stories, to disrupt Secret Service protection of dignitaries attending the UN or taking out mobile service for all NY but about managing criminal enterprises

The mystique: Trench-coats, dimly lit parking garages, and furtive handoffs

The reality: Lots of spreadsheets and cold calls to people who hate you

I've said this take before, but All the President's Men is the most accurate journalism movie in large part because there are long stretches where no good source will talk to them and it's not clear they're going to get the story even if they stay really dogged at it and it's really boring to watch

On croit rêver :
