Hey so I'm not interested in yucking anyone's yum by any means, but I think at some point I accidentally liked a post about some furry stuff thinking it was about people's non-human pets and now my Bluesky feed is full of furry posts. This was a mistake and I don't know how to correct it.

Devouring books was my primary hobby in 2025. I learned a ton and met some excellent fictional friends. Looking forward to more adventures in 2026! 🥳🥂

I LOVED:
Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid
The Wedding People by Alison Espach
Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt
A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
Talk about your books, and talk about the books you love. Almost all of the books I read now are from people posting about them on Bluesky. I'll also often pick something up after seeing it discussed on Reddit, and on rare occasions someone I know will rec a book to me privately.

Genuinely concerned at the number of my friends using chatbots as their therapists and wishing I could just wave a magic wand and give them affordable, easy access to a qualified human instead.

Rewatching Breaking Bad for the first time since I binged the whole series right after it ended. Man, Walter is just an asshole. Straight up villain from the first episode. Also, anyone remember Pontiac Aztecs? Forgot how hideous those were.

Man. Those files are rough. I'm hopping offline for the night and leaving you with this curled-up kitty taking a sun bath.

Hey so read this whole thread
A gross historical fact about white slavery panics (that's all those narratives around trafficking going back 100 years that blame Black & Brown men for the trafficking of white women) is that anytime you dig into actual trafficking cases there's rich white men in the mix as purveyors and customers
A central motif throughout the drug panics has been the specter of predatory drug dealers forcing innocent young white girls into sexual slavery. Swap out “scary young Black guy” with “old rich white man” and suddenly there’s no urgency.

The base for my vintage ceramic Christmas tree got broken years ago. My partner just made this beautiful wooden base for me 🥹 I love it so much

I am looking for a TV show or movie that will keep me so engaged I don't want to simultaneously scroll on my phone. Have recently watched Pluribus, Heated Rivalry, Roofman, The Chair Company, Peacemaker. Hit me with your best shot, and assume I have access to all streaming services.

Had some real nerd shit going on this weekend. A good time was had by all, and somehow I won this six-way free for all.

Neither my partner nor I are religious, so we never felt right saying "bless you," to each other after sneezing. We had a full-on discussion about what to say instead and landed on, "You sneezed." Acknowledgement felt necessary, but beyond that, /shrug.

I am, yet again, a bit late with October's wrap up, but here are the last two months. Kind of hit a wall in November, with the shorter daylight hours, busy work schedule, more gym time, and an adventurous (not a relax-and-read-on-the-beach) vacation. Hoping to finish strong in December!

I've been in a bit of a reading slump since finishing Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid, which was hands down my favorite book I've read since January 2024. But I started By Any Other Name by Jodi Picoult yesterday, and I can't put it down 🤩 big Lost Apothecary/Weyward vibes, and I'm loving it.

Sat down with my uncle and cousin today and counted all the pets in my family. From Grandma to my niece, we've got 32 total (not counting fish), mostly cats. Here are my copy/paste Merry and Pippin!

Had our first snow of the season last night. Partner just told me he put a scraper and brush in my car. 🥹 It 100% is the little things.

Felt like putting up seasonal decorations for the first time in years, and it's the first time Merry and Pippin have seen a Christmas tree. Woke up to this, and I'm honestly shocked if made it through the night.
