Some twat has added me to a 'Progressives for Trump/MAGA' blocklist, so just in case it was in doubt:

Donald Trump is the worst of humanity, running unchecked through the halls of power and I loathe him - and all his collaborators- with every fibre of my being

obviously you only sell almost $6 billion in stock when you're certain a company is going to get even more valuable
Japanese giant SoftBank said Tuesday it has sold its entire stake in tech giant Nvidia for $5.83 billion.

I don’t have a whole lot of advice for people younger than me but the earlier in life you stop worrying about what other people will think and just wholeheartedly enjoy the stuff you like the happier you’ll be
One thing people kind of tell you, but not really, about middle age:

One day you'll be like "oh [thing] looks fun but people will think I'm a loser" about a thing

And then you'll say. Wait a second.

Fuck 'em

At this point I do sincerely believe this anti phone and social media drive is rooted in the "social contagion" idea of being trans. They do not think she died because she used her phone, they think she died because people in her phone convinced her she was a girl.

Is the BBC perfect? No.
Is it a good thing when the leader of a foreign power can seriously threaten and interfere in the running of what is still the national public service broadcaster of an ally? Also no.
Both of these things can be true.

Remember, when journalists just let trans people live their lives in peace, it’s “ideological capture”, but when they use their own personal anti-trans beliefs to lead a campaign to close down the only place in the country trans youth received healthcare, it’s absolutely fine, nothing to see here.

I think it's bizarre that a "Labour" government that has spent the last 16 months doing everything in their power to dehumanize and segregate trans people and take away life-saving treatments from kids just like Brianna are acting like this is something that will honor her memory.

Very convenient to be able to shove the transphobia that got this girl killed under the carpet and blame phones instead and be able to deny any criticism like that

Maybe Esther doesn’t think its insulting, but its rubbing salt in the wound to the whole trans community

By "strangers on the internet" she means "the group that is directly impacted by these policies and which is being sidelined in favour of infamous bigots".
Do you not think it's bizarre to have strangers on the internet decide they know better than Brianna's own loved ones on what is or isn't insulting to her memory?

I've got no time for Rosie Duffield, but she turned up at a drop-in event in Parliament and that's been the limit of her involvement.

What sucks about dragging Imane Khelif into the transgender sports thing again and again is she so dearly and articulately wants girls (especially Muslim girls) to feel strong and like they, too, can box. And we keep making her thing about our own anxieties and fears.

Aeon Ginsberg's poem 'Against Queering The Map' is a fucking joy to read, a heart punching, soul sucking call to arms, a requiem for our community, and our spaces, and reading it is like eating the most delicious meal, in the midst of heartbreaking grief

This is SO COOL
There’s something extraordinary about this otherwise pretty standard Late Bronze Age axehead:

A human fingerprint. A real, visible and tangible connection to someone from 3000 years ago. If that doesn’t give you goosebumps, idk what will. 🥹

This very much includes men’s supposedly self-deprivation g claims that men are “simply naturally more violent” than women are—an exculpatory myth that conveniently excludes men from culpability for their actions while claiming to condemn them.
I think I had underestimated how much men really believe that they are essentially different in character than women are.

also our political anthem is literally called the Internationale! it’s far more reasonable for us to care about NYC than it is for right-wingers to care about Trump
The "why do you care so much about the NY mayoral election" takes strike me as pretty obtuse. The world's sole superpower is being taken over by fascists, and this was part of the struggle to define what the opposition to that will look like. That obviously has major implications for all of us?
