It’s a fact that nobody in positions of power is willing to risk eroding their own power by doing anything meaningful to hinder the worst of their colleagues they see the system they preside over as more important than any cruelty no matter how bad and they won’t risk weakening it so much as an iota

National Guard troops don't sign up to be used as political pawns. They sign up to serve their country, not needlessly deploy to American cities to pick up garbage. These two soldiers should be alive right now and at home with their families for Thanksgiving. I'm furious.
