Living like a prehistoric dog. Father, husband, dog owner, artist and web developer. I love reading and writing.
Anxiety and depression posting. Feeling kinda lonely and disconnected in these times. Everything, like cleaning, is hard to do. Feels like I’m sluggish and can’t do anything. Taking out the trash feels like a panic attack. Nothing is quick everything feels slower. Getting frustrated with hobbies.

500 bucks would get you an ok bootcamp or a bunch of books to self teach. Lazy vibe coders.

og disney concept artist were some of the best to ever do it.
We already have 1000+ reasons to hate """artist""" James C Mulligan (see below), but it was extra enraging to see him stealing and taking credit for the work of actual Bambi artist and all-around Disney legend Tyrus Wong, so here's a mini Ted Talk 🧵

manufacturing consent and outrage.

you throw out the chum for the war hungry conservatives first then redact it because they aren't gonna believe you anyways. they'll think you went woke but was right at first, but you did just enough to feed them. this is dangerous manipulation of the masses.

tall buildings shake
voices escape singing sad sad songs
tuned to chords strung down your cheeks
bitter melodies turning your orbit around

I think I'm gonna go listen now too.

There was a YouTube video I watched months ago of this freelancer discussing his tech debt and performance for a client. What blew my mind was that it was a SPA style site for like a construction company with an email for contact.

thinking about all those articles and post years ago around Black Lives Matter protests that said "gen z will save us" while ignoring that Kyle R was a gen z guy and not it turns out most of the men in gen z are just cringe nazis.

Oddly good timing. I was thinking up catching up on what the new css can do. Feels weird I don’t need sass anymore for nesting.

I think if you go to college and say "my religious beliefs prevent me from learning this" you should leave college because you're a woman and you aren't supposed to be educated. According to religious doctrines in many fundamentalist beliefs you need to be at home and quiet.
A professor at Texas A&M taught… something related to gender that offended a student, who secretly filmed herself objecting. That video is picked up by TX legislators, who demand her firing, and now the dean and dept head have been fired.

Why I don’t like the term indigenous on its own without context.
"Indigenous" is a REALLY broad tent that encompasses hundreds, thousands of cultures even. As a Māori writer, I would not feel comfortable claiming authority on being a Torres Strait Islander y'know?

I like that Rian is doing Agatha Christie bit but as film. Just make the reason to have a solid ensemble cast. With that said I still haven't seen a single one of these movies but I just like that they are being made.

I feel like some cases of transphobia, like here, are ploys to stay relevant. like his last book was a rehash of the tipping point that was seen as fan service. like how the hell does a nonfiction author get a book reviewed as fan service?
