This brought on by reading about pre civil war abolitionists. These people were unambiguously right in the most pressing moral struggle of their time. You’d also probably fucking kill yourself if ever stranded on a desert island with half of them.

Not spicy enough, there's many things that people have decided that it is Very Reasonable to just not be curious about, not having a basic grasp of how AI works is actually kinda low on my list tbh
I'll be a little spicier: while this definitely applies more to the right than anyone else, it's not unrelated to those who are proudly incurious about things like how AI actually works! You don't have to be an expert (I am not at all), but you should care if your beliefs are grounded in truth!

It is EXHAUSTING not only being made responsible for coming up with new kinds of assignments for our students; it's also tedious reading op-eds that suggest the core problem is a crisis in teaching. But, as Chris and I lay out here, this isn't a crisis in teaching; it's an attack on learning.

So, there's this popular game where I think it shouldn't be controversial in the slightest to say that its players mean two wildly different things when they say "yeah, I play that game!"
