Public enquiries are a waste of time- no action ever comes out of them and often take years, cost £m's and they have little or no clout to change things. Chilcot, Leversen, PO, HIV, et al all for nothing. Lawyers only winners £200m so far on Covid to learn lessons yet no prosecutions at the end.

Actually, there were many "swindles" in the ref.
1. The gerrymandered non-domestic constituency.
2. The Leave camp's illegal spending.
3. The Leave camp's "battle plan" that stated they'd lose if they didn't lie about Single Market membership.
4. The non-binding status that prevented an anullmemt.

I've come to the conclusion that to solve the immigration issue we need to solve the cost of living crisis first. The folk complaining most about immigrants are those suffering poverty most. Fix the C of L and folks won't bother about the rest. Farage will disappear within months

Just wish I had made the decision to get out. The UK is going to the dogs very quickly. So sad
Many of our members will agree with this

Brexit & the changing social climate also played a role. Even those who had emigrated decades ago felt vindicated, noting a sharp decline in public attitudes, rising racism, & a volatile political landscape that made returning increasingly unappealing

Here here Not only Johnson but all his mates - Hancock, Sunak, Gove, Cummings, Hunt and all the civil servants that partied with him I'd even throw in Dido Harding
He should be in prison.
"Boris Johnson should be hauled into Downing Street for one last Downing Street press conference to apologise to the whole country and he should be banned from holding public office ever again."

We keep hearing that a wealth tax would not work, be ineffective, cause unemployment and worst of all these rich folks would leave the country. Its all a load of rubbish - they get all the perks from tax incentives, company expenses etc. and they own the media pushing out this rubbish. Tax them 10%+
Rinse and repeat, a recipe of how to tax the Super wealthy. The arrogance that they think they should not pay tax when we all do is bollocks.
www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

I disagree. A tax on the Super Wealthy who don't pay their fair share is a start. We are conditioned into thinking this would wreck the country, it's bollocks. This is a moral issue. The media has always framed it as impossible. It's not. They should pay tax.

He hopes that by releasing many more files he will be let off the hook but he will be holding back all the files that refer to him in a bad light using the "ongoing investigations" into Clinton et al that will go on for years. Bondi will see to that
This is really dangerous for Trump 👇

"ongoing probes at Trump’s behest could limit what is released"

MAGA 🤡s have been exceptionally wound up by Trump on need to release all the Epstein files…

…and now he is using a legal trick to hold some files back - why?

The problem with successive Governments is the lack of attendance in Parliament. Every time the media shows speakers in the HOC the benches are almost empty. Why is it that only PMQ's get a full house when most other business has so few attendees. It seems that many MP's are too busy with 2nd jobs
November 20, 2025 at 2:32 PM
The incompetence of this Government is beyond belief. Everyone with a grain of sense can work out that by re-joining the EU or freedom of M, customs union would allow illegals to be sent back to the country they left without all the rigmarole of courts, agreements etc. Before Brexit this was easy.
It’s not been thought through at all. It’s back of a fag-packet hate stuff, that’s all. Incompetent as well as viciously horrible.
It will also mean people's refugee status will be reviewed every 2 and half years. If this policy was in place now, that would mean the Home Office having at least another 67k decisions to process over the next year (the number of initial decision grants made between April 2023 and March 2024)

Starmer again not capable of leading. All utilities need to be nationalised. What is he afraid of
Corruption. Thames water needs nationalising.
Thames Water tried to make MP pay its legal fees of up to £1,400 an hour, he asked the Court to put TW into special administration.

Blatant attempt to silence MPs.

TW paying £200m a year to advisers, charges customers for its failures.

Abuses will continue until execs held personally liable.

The decent majority in this country must stand against it and stand up to the idiots who are believing all the bile about immigration. Migrants and immigrants get jobs ,pay taxes and contribute to society. Billionaires rip us off and support right wing politicians that help them pay no tax. FACT.
We do have a racist and xenophobe problem in the UK, it's been going on for nearly 10 years and been stoked by Murdoch and the right wing press. They have scapegoated migrants for years to distract from all the corruption and tax evasion of Billionaires. It's got worse because of our politicians.

If the Media and its owners don't pay tax in the UK they shouldn't be able to print anything in the UK.

"And yeah we don't want the Americans owning our Media, get them out."
