For the Disability community, losing Alice Wong is like losing Ursula Le Guin or Octavia Butler. She was a powerhouse, a pioneer, and a mentor to many. She taught me so much. And always reminded me what we were fighting towards, as well as against. I miss her clarity, bravery, and joy.

Costumes are encouraged but not required! :) Cyborg Unicorn Story Hour is an open mic reading series in the Seattle area. We will have up to fifteen or so seven-minute open mic slots. What is your horror movie trope that absolutely drives you bonkers?

For me, it's when a character's in a tense moment and another character puts a hand on their shoulder from behind. I mean, who touches someone before announcing their presence??? It's a jump scare that's never made any sense to me.
