I tried out UNYIELDER a few days ago and got my face absolutely handed to me. Its a roguelite boss rush FPS where you only get ammo if you pull off a devastating parry- which I can imagine is catnip for the hardcore crowd who can to master it.

I on the other hand, am weak.

Finally: AI cannot do your job, but an AI salesman can 100% convince your boss to fire you and replace you with an AI that can't do your job, and when the bubble bursts, the money-hemorrhaging "foundation models" will be shut off and we'll lose the AI that can't do your job, and you will be long gone, retrained or retired or "discouraged" and out of the labor market, and no one will do your job.
AI is the asbestos we are shoveling into the walls of our society and our descendants will be digging it out for generations:

Wow this sucks. I liked the idea of The Lift, but this absolutely kills my enthusiasm for it.

I'm... glad they have AI Placeholder watermarks on the generated images, but not using Steam's disclosure section is unacceptable, as the watermarks aren't easy to see unless you're scanning every image.

I liked The Lift’s demo, but was disappointed to see the team use gen AI for placeholder assets.
At least they clearly labelled the asset.
The steam page doesn’t have an AI statement I could see.

Here’s hoping the final product will be free of slop.

I was expecting the Dorfromantik Board Game to be more of the same, a charming adaptation and little more- but it's impressive just how much the constraints, unlocks, and score-chasing (with rewards) really makes it feel more compelling, and makes me want to play more of it when I get the chance.

But nailing a perfect, or near-perfect run? Oh man does it feel good in a way that I don't get from most other games.

Or you can just take it easy, build pretty landscapes, and not worry at all about min-maxing for points. You can still unlock & see everything without try-harding at all.
