The narrator says "I'm Amarela."
Though her room is warm, it is bland, unadorned. Though not as hostile as the cold outside.
"I live in this big city called Terminus." The narrator continues.
Outside is a mountain range so tall it casts the whole city into shadow. The grey, brutalist shapes jutting off into the distance are lit by the sickly pale magic lamps. Their towering, geometric forms broken only by warm candlelight spilling from the odd window. The centrepiece of it all is a towering block of a building with a monolith reaching up from it, the plinth of a statue. The worn statue is the only thing in the entire city catching any sunlight. It features a man standing alone in a long jacket robe, holding aloft a crystal ball that glints in the sunlight.
"It's a bit of a dump." The narrator remarks.
