22YrsAgo Today purely by chance I got chatting to @hbwleedscastle.bsky.social at Christmas Party, on Exeter Quay 5 minutes before she’d intended to call it a day. Unbeknown to me & ‘inconveniently’ for her at time, I passed all 5 screening questions of consummate interviewer! #TheRestIsHistory

This is your annual reminder that Chris Rea wrote 'Driving Home For Christmas' after his record company, Magnet, refused to buy him a train ticket from London back to his native Middlesbrough. Instead wife Joan drove south by car to pick Chris up & bring him home.

📍 Hamburg Hbf

A LOT to say about these trains, but definitely a step-up to the other models Talgo’s produced in terms of ride comfort. The capacity boost is also very much welcome!

Now for lunch then to plan my next move.
