TLDR for my last post:

I AM A PLUMBER NOW!

*shows off buttcrack*
Well, today has sucked.

I have severe cubital tunnel syndrome in my left arm, and I've lost most of one of the muscles in my hand permanently. I've been referred for surgery ASAP.

On the plus side: hmm, I can't think of anything.

About halfway through my first watch of Come From Away:

I was unprepared for the emotional rollercoaster. They are nailing me right in the feels!

Also, it's hilarious. And I love Newfies.

Migraine! It's what's for dinner!
December 2, 2025 at 4:10 AM
Why, yes, I am baking a box cake at midnight.

I really should have done it when I first thought about doing it, but executive dysfunction is kinda rude like that.

Cake isn't the worst way to celebrate insomnia, right? Right!

Taking an online bookkeeping class because my husband is quitting his job working for The Man, and soon will be an independent contractor. It's.. a lot. But it'll be good for our family.

Bookkeeping is... a whole new world.

I think I might like it? So weird.

Q: “Are you affirming you think Trump is a fascist?”

TRUMP: “That’s ok, you can just say yes.”

ZOHRAN: “Ok. Yes.”

A few weeks ago, I was referred to a clinic in the big city for nerve conduction studies. I asked how long the current wait was, and my doctor said 6-8 weeks.

SURPRISE! I waited 2 weeks for a call, and now have an appointment in early December. Way less than 6 weeks.

It's a Christmas miracle! 😀

Valentino was watching me take photos of our blooming Christmas cactus, and so I was able to quickly snap this one of him! Usually he looks away from the camera.

His tail looks like a tree from The Lorax, hahaha.

Just finished the mycorrhizal fungi unit of the mycology class I am taking.

If I have to hand-write mycorrhiza one more time, I may be forced to endlessly scream into the void.

On the up side? I actually understood the material, haha. Got 100% on my test, yeehaw. And my notes are tidy and useful!

Insomnia! Brought to you by forgetting to take my night time meds!

It's actually kinda wild how not tired I am. It's 345am. I should be at least a little sleepy. But nope! Just sitting here, knowing it's way too late to take my meds, and too early for morning meds.

I live a fun life these days. 🤣

This video is amazing and you must watch! Unless you don't like slugs and slime molds, in which case, give it a big ole skipperoonie.

Hubby brought home an illness from out of town. I would like him to take it back, please and thank you.

Hoping it's not COVID, but wouldn't be surprised. Too tired to take a test. Whee.

The New World Screwworm, is a nightmare of a fly and it seems to be making a comeback in the places it was previously eradicated - Central and North America. What exactly this fly does, why it’s such a problem, and how we came to defeat it (temporarily) all feature in this week’s episode.

Woke up at 3pm today.

It's going to take me *days* to walk my morning med time back from mid-afternoon to where it should be.

Whee. Guess I know what I am doing this weekend. Good thing hubby is out of town. I'm going to be a messy mess.

James Watson, academic thief and monumental but incredibly thin-skinned bigot has apparently died.

I didn't realize that he was still alive. Nobody else did either, since he was such a monumental jerk that nobody wanted anything to do with him anymore.

I want to post things on here, but I have nothing to say.

Oh, except that Highway Thru Hell is my new favourite TV show, and my current favourite hobby is reading studies about treatment resistant depression.

I've been off work for a year now.

An entire year.

"What time is it? Showtime!"

And thus my internal echolalia tells me it's time to take Tino for a walk.

If I knew why my brain associates Hamilton with walking my dog, I'd be a rich man. I'll have this one line on repeat in my head until I put his harness on.

Then comes the inner peace. ❤️

I chose the last possible minute to resume my online mycology class (I have to have it done by Dec 31) but I am happy to report that my brain still works somewhat.

I should be on track to finish the course if I stick to my new schedule. Here's hoping the brain weasels let me do this.
