I think maybe the reason which I'm sure was brought up originally is that platforms have to be rebuilt according to the TTC bc they can't withstand the weight of the peds
Spelunking through the new TTC budget. Platform edge doors, now labelled "aspirational", still seem wildly overpriced at $4.1 billion. Are they made of sapphire. cdn.ttc.ca/-/media/Proj... (PDF)

I think we should turn bike lanes into skate lanes
It’s fine most of the time. You learn to dress for it.

Never forget, a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users.

ALL ROAD USERS.

And painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all. For sharrows, it’s actually safer to NOT have them.

Separated Bike Lanes Means Safer Streets, Study Says — Streetsblog USA
Cities that build protected lanes for cyclists end up with safer roads for people on bikes and people in cars and on foot, a new study of 12 large metropolises revealed Wednesday.

Great news coming out of South Korea where the leader of the President's own party showed up at the National Assembly to shake hands with the head of the opposition party after its unanimous vote to revoke Yoon's martial law declaration.

Hot
Lee Jae-myung, Leader of South Korea's Democratic Party, live-streamed himself scaling the walls of the National Assembly to bypass military barricades so that he could vote to overturn the President's martial law.

I know they won't this early (or if they ever will) but the Liberals, NDP, and Greens really need to take this warning sign and join forces, the earlier the better.

Whether that means being one united part or agreeing to only run the top polling candidate in each riding, they need to figure it out.
This polling dashboard from Mainstreet Research is projecting a 0% chance for either the NDP or Liberals to form a majority or minority government according to the current polling numbers.
