This is from the prosecutors opening statement in the judge Dugan trial, but under cross, the investigating agent just admitted they have no idea what “business as usual” looks like in the Milwaukee courthouse. Not going well for the government here.
Judge Dugan's clerk informed her that ICE was in the hallway.

"Then it was no longer business as usual. Then it was no longer a routine day," the prosecutor says.

@sulliview.bsky.social is relentlessly staying on this and it's good to see:

This. What journalism SHOULD be doing to respond to this moment of democratic crisis (from the always brilliant @sulliview.bsky.social):

I only needed to read the headline to know @sulliview.bsky.social was dead on. When she called the coverage of Trump “stenography” I said to myself “yep.” And I applauded when she outlined 3 changes on how to respond to Trump.

Follow them please, journalists.

Journalism should be communicating the still-raging five-alarm fire that’s burning up our nation’s purpose and history.

Critically important read from @sulliview.bsky.social.

President currently feuding with a beloved American comedy icon who was murdered 24 hours ago.
Trump doubles down on his Rob Reiner attack: "I wasn't a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person... He became like a deranged person, Trump Derangement Syndrome. So I was not a fan of Rob Reiner at all in any way, shape or form. I thought he was very bad for our country."

If you’re telling Head Start programs they can’t say “disability”, “Black”, “female”, or “Tribal” in order to get funded—you don’t care about kids. Period.

This administration is attacking the very protections that keep children safe and supported. Our kids are not political props.

Trump has finally said something so caustic and irredeemable that even some republicans have stopped pretending like they don’t see his tweets to condemn it.

What an asshole.

I think where Trump differs from Congressional Republicans on the filibuster is, they see it as something they will want to use in the future, whereas he's thinking of killing it as a step toward permanent rule. Kill it, pass laws that make it impossible for Dems to win again, bada bing.
Trump: "We should knock out the filibuster. If you did that, we'd get voter ID, you'd have no mail in voting, all things that make our elections dishonest."

Increasingly GOP party actors like Indiana legislators are balking. When they do — whether motivated by principle, self-interest, or spite — it’s not (just) Democrats who benefit. It’s the entire country and the Constitution.

Latest must read in @atrupar.com's PN by @nberlat.bsky.social.

Fuck the corrupt pair, Witkoff and Kushner. They are selling out the West for Russian bribes. I don't understand why Congressional leaders here in the US are not louder, more outraged about what is happening, more willing to fight.
Zelenskyy rejected Witkoff’s proposal to withdraw troops from Donbas during talks in Berlin, — AFR

Reports say the Ukrainian side insists that any ceasefire must come without prior territorial concessions to Russia. The maximum they are willing to accept is a freeze along the current front line.

They saw it before and they voted for it again, even after knowing about Project 2025 and what that plan outlined.

They chose not to believe Project 2025 existed or that Trump was involved in it.
