A year ago I got the call from hospice (they always know) and made the 6 hour drive to Rochester to say goodbye to the smartest person I’ve ever known.
A lot of my friends are questioning the wisdom of attending today’s Pats/Bills game in Foxboro. I’m from Rochester damn it, I was born for days like this.

One of best things about owning a longstanding college restaurant is getting to meet and talk with alums who make the trek back to their alma mater and want to go to that "one spot"

I’m giving a talk at Wesleyan tomorrow and I’ve written it, but I didn’t understand the structure. It said what I wanted to say but I didn’t have my sign posts connecting the three parts. My subconscious figured it out last night, which is very kind of it.
