FT: 2-1. Another well deserved #Boro win. As at Hull, a superb first 45 of fluid football did the damage, the 2nd half all about game management. Sky comms tried to make out Charlton were piling on pressure but never felt like any real danger. Solid show. Lots of positives. #UTB

Forgot to say: in the #Boro presser the boss was asked what he'd changed tactically at HT & gave a really detailed, technical answer (the lads will no doubt write it up tomorrow). So refreshing when coaches (usually foreign) actually explain. Carrick/Edwards it'd be: "we changed it a bit." #UTB

The "guy making a case about low taxes" was in fact Karl Williams of the Centre for Policy Studies - author of the fictional/fabricated and now withdrawn "£234 billion" cost number cited by Katie Lam and Reform.

Funnily Amol Rajan didn't ask him about that.. 😉
And again I wonder why a super expert like Portes is not on BBC4 today instead of a guy making a case about low taxes
Fewer workers. Fewer international students. More people leaving.

A "step in the right direction" according to the PM.

Impossible to take PM/govt seriously on growth if they are deliberately reducing it (and making the fiscal position worse) *as a matter of policy*.
