My husband of 19 years @kevingaustin.bsky.social passed away suddenly on 11/11/24; our cats died that year too & my parents in the year before that & it is A LOT. 💔

I do post about other stuff too...

This store has only a handful of sales and a couple of reviews so can't attest to quality of service or goods (or origins of their designs) but I approve of where they're going with these designs.

Still kind of amused (and delighted) that one ship name for Bucky/Steve/Peggy is World War Threesome.

(They were all founders of antifa, come on.)

this is very very funny, but I think my favorite part is the implication that Keanu Reeves got suckered into saying yes to a bad play

TFW you paid $1400 to see Beckett’s most famous work without knowing anything about it
One Star Review of Waiting for Godot on Broadway
I recently attended Waiting for Godot on Broadway and spent over $1,400 for two Row C seats (103 and 104). I'm a longtime admirer of Broadway productions and even hold a season pass for Shea's Performing Arts Theatre, so I came in with genuine enthusiasm and high expectations. Unfortunately, this show was unlike anything ! have ever experienced —and not in a good way.
What I encountered was not the artistry, music, or emotional storytelling I usually associate with Broadway, but instead what felt like an endless cycle of nonsensical conversation between characters who seemed trapped in their own madness. I tried-truly tried-to find meaning, symbolism, or even a thread of emotional resonance. I stayed through the first half hoping the second would offer clarity. But by intermission, it was clear: this was a waste of both time and money.
Keanu Reeves is an actor I respect greatly, but I cannot fathom why he would agree to participate in such a disjointed, inaccessible production. His talent was lost in a performance that defied reason rather than provoked insight.
To anyone considering attending: unless you are drawn to highly abstract, nearly incomprehensible theater, I strongly caution you against this show. For the average, educated, thoughtful theatergoer, it is far more frustrating than fulfilling. In my opinion, this was the single most disappointing Broadway experience I've ever had - an unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time.

I love people who do quote posts like this because it’s like yes, that’s in the post. I wasn’t trying to fool anyone by saying Lollapalooza is right around the corner and that Limp Bizkit is hotter than ever.
This was 3 years ago. Seriously people.

I'm excited for Limp Bizkit, but I'm a little worried about Antifa...
Question
I'm sick and tired of seeing these thugs terrorize big events and am worried that they will try to interrupt Limp Bizkit's set. My gf (F19) and I (M31) are going to our first Lollapalooza and are concerned about the growing threat around the city

Back from my family trip to tell you that I have a new story in @kaleidotrope.bsky.social ! "What a Big Heart You Have" is my tender tribute to Grandma and Aunt Ellen, though the characters aren't literally them. kaleidotrope.net/autumn-2025/...

Today my @nytimes.com colleagues and I are launching a new series called Lost Science. We interview US scientists who can no longer discover something new about our world, thanks to this year‘s cuts. Here is my first interview with a scientist who studied bees and fires. Gift link: nyti.ms/3IWXbiE

The "follow" dichotomy I always struggle with is "I want to see every single thing you post" vs. "I want you to know that I like and respect you." My Following feed is so overstuffed as it is, but I hate the idea that people I don't follow back might think that I don't appreciate them!
rose.bsky.team
The "follow" button confounds "I'm looking at your content" and "I endorse this content." We need two different ways to signal the difference between the two.
windowseat.bsky.social
I go back and forth between whether I should follow a lot of people and use lists to read a subset of them or follow a smaller amount and use lists to check in on more people.

(But then I followed too many people via starter packs & things got out of hand early. Welp!)

It would be amazing if someone put together a gripping documentary that would get to the roots of this "antifa" organization. Lots of historical footage from many years ago . . .

(Hell, couldn't they just slap a "history of antifa" title card on an old World War II documentary or something?)

Okay, I wouldn't walk into the sea, it would be Lake Harriet unless I took a trip to my old stomping grounds on Lake Minnetonka or to the closest thing we have to the sea, the most superior of lakes— Lake Superior.

One of them has a Wikipedia page and the other does not so I'd say the one with the page is more important obviously. 🤔

Highland cattle are famous for their ability to "disco nap". Normally these brief, efficient sleeps will last between three and twenty minutes, deploying a variety of objects as pillows, including moorland boulders, cars or any particularly large dog or sheep who happens to be nearby.
