Thankful to The Beatles for making the guitar look cool when I was a little kid. Thankful to my parents for giving me a guitar and paying for a few lessons.
Thankful to the guitar for enriching every day of my life ever since.

I’ve read the book and it was heartbreaking. I want to see the movie but I know it will be devastating. (Also have tickets for the stage adaptation in DC next year)

If you loved the movie, try reading the book. The writing is out of this world. Truly. You feel it all in your bones, in your soul.

Wanted to see Hamnet in the movie theater. I read how people were openly weeping leaving the theater. Opting to watch at home so I can cry in private.

Saw Hamnet today. Best film as well as the most devastating emotionally in years. Even after leaving the theater, I felt like I was going to start crying. Again.

I have no idea who else will get nominated, but I can’t fathom l a performance out there that can top Jessie Buckley’s.

First day back to work after surgery.
I am definitely fully recovered.
I definitely still have burnout. (This will probably be true for some years to come unless something very drastic changes for long enough.)
I will be changing some priorities so that I focus on things that lift me up.

So. Rep Crockett announced her TX campaign for US Senate.

Good.

Voters get a choice in the primary. They can research the candidates, find their positions on issues and choose.

She's getting ultra-gerrymandered out of her Rep seat, so why not take the shot.

It's a primary. Not a coliseum fight.
