Nothing is a better demonstration of the anti-scientific nature of banning trans women from sports than the fact that the IOC's OWN STUDY found no evidence trans women have any advantage over cis women in sports, but they're planning on going ahead with banning us anyways

TONY TONY TONY TONY TONY I HAVE IDEAS TONY
ANDOR creator Tony Gilroy likes the idea of a Kleya and Vel ‘Nazi hunters’ spin-off series in which the duo hunt after former Imperials following the fall of the Empire with the assistance of Dedra Meero in a Hannibal Lector-esque role.

the nyt tends to be really cagey about accepting any hacked data from hacktivists or other non-nazi hackers and often just does not cover big hacktivist stories at all even if they are national news. just like, for the record.

Okay Okay, Star Wars Halcyon Days (just a random name, don't think too much about it) season 1 concept:

Our main character, a force-sensitive who remembers the Jedi Purge, is now somewhere in his* 30's. He has mostly fond memories of the Order, and none good of the empire, being a nonhuman alien.
If you bring the first class magneto nazihunter arc to star wars I will kiss you on the mouth.
You know this scene is the basic centerpiece you can build a Jedi centric post Endor series on youtu.be/nONOlQJKNls?...

Not to be boss baby enjoyer about this but this is what Everything Is Permitted was about
I am once again begging people to realize that the law is words on paper and is not self executing.

"That's illegal" is not and has never been synonymous with "that's impossible" or "that can't be done."

"That's illegal" means "you might get in trouble for that depending on who you are."

I understand that a lot of people put work into 3 and 4, but it’s really telling that no bit of writing in those games comes close to the emotional resonance of the ending monologue of New Vegas’s parody silly joke time DLC

Realized something in writing this:

The difference in comedy between Twitter and Bluesky is that Twitter had 15 years to build up its own sense of humor. It has a very specific cadence and even semantic structure.

I know a lot of fans of TLOU, but I've never met anyone who's said "I really want to play the games again, but I don't want to play the copies I already own. I wish there was a way to keep paying for them." As much as we dog on Skyrim, at least Todd waits for a new platform to release new versions.
Two unforgettable stories in one package.

“paid for by cruise ship fees” is exactly why health officials should not be baffled tbh
The CDC's cruise ship inspectors have been laid off, as well as agency's head epidemiologist for investigating cruise ship outbreaks

That baffled health officials since this program is paid for by cruise ship fees, not taxpayer dollars

One thing I'll say right now as someone with a literal degree in English Literature: books aren't an inherently more moral medium than any others. It requires a different skillset but there's just *so much* dreck out there, same as any other medium
