AI can be tested and proved in retrofitted, existing, data centers, but inordinately wealthy individuals and companies are demanding new, ginormous, data centers without demonstrated need. The excessive water and electricity requirements can not be justified without smaller AI demonstrations.

Oil and gas companies, American Petroleum Institute (API), and their ilk, have known for more than 50 years (from research done by their own, and other, scientists and researchers) about global climate change and instead of transitioning to renewable energy they lied/covered (GHG emissions) it up.

Availability and cost of homes, real estate in general, is too rare and expensive. The use of real estate to launder criminal money transactions, and private equity buying, and taking off the market (supply side manipulation) too much property... Forensic accountants need to investigate.
