Observation in the field (airports, one suburban grocery store, a large shopping mall) over this holiday break has confirmed to me that among other problems we have a bona fide Crisis of Spatial Awareness
the best part of traveling is a bunch of adults watching youtube videos on their phones on the external speakers because every person in this country is as smart and self-aware as an ipad kid now

Es necio y ocioso (y peligroso) tronar toneladas de cuetes en ciertas fiestas, tronarlos por Navidad es absolutamente irracional y ridículo. También lo es -hasta niveles de payasada- defender esas prácticas por ser “populares“. Que se abandonaran no tendría mayor costo social. Deben abandonarse.

So love wobbegongs. Everything is good about the wobbegong. Its name. Its flattened Oscar the Grouch face. Its frondy bits. Its lazy life as a hungry rug. And it’s a shark. Outstanding animal 10/10
The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.

Think much of the over-parenting we despise stems from the early on fear of the driver.
If parents weren't terrified of our streets kids would have so much more freedom and independence which might get them comfortable with their children's ability to navigate the world without them.
