I've been following this case for a while and holy fuck this is depressing. A man cornered and started beating Jaia and she stabbed him in self defense after warning him she would if he didn't stop. She got 15 years

Jaia Cruz admits stabbing postal worker to death in Harlem deli, gets 15 years
At least 10 years was shaved off her sentence — part of a plea agreement in April — angering victim Ray Hodges’ loved ones, who felt the sentence was too light.

Even for the sadistic Sex Matters, this is hideous.
But they give the game away about what this is all REALLY about. The worst nightmare for people like JK Rowling is a future where trans people grow up imperceptible to c!s. Harder to mock and bully. Natch, they copy in NHS trans torturer Steeting.

If you open the anti-trans HHS report’s appendix in NotePad, you’ll see that it was compiled by Alex Byrne.

The appendix is a rigorous, scientific overview of systematic reviews.

Alex Byrne is an MIT philosophy professor with no apparent background in science, let alone expertise in it.

Unsurprising attack piece from yet another anti-trans org upset about my work... I'd thought there'd been more vandalism the last few days...

All I can say to them is:
That's so sad. Alexa, play Despacito

Fuck “detrans awareness day”, it’s a bullshit day that exists so conversion therapists & right-wingers can spread disinfo/propaganda about detransition, harming both trans & detrans people. Most detrans people are trans/pro-trans, anti-trans detrans activists are a minority amplified by the Right.

The highest ranking trans person in the federal government was fired last week amid the broader purge. It was certainly political and targeted. 19thnews.org/2025/02/amy-...
She pioneered change over five presidencies. The Trump administration just fired her.
Amy Paris, a transgender official who worked at the highest levels of the federal government, suspects her termination was politically motivated.

Public comment is now open for passport gender marker changes.

You can go here to go to each of the three proposed passport rules, and submit comment.

My suggestion: be unique, argue for trans-inclusive policies, against the constitutionality of the changes, etc.

This fucked me up to learn - via somebody trying to update her wiki bio citing glinner gloating...

In 2022, she requested her wiki article be updated to reflect her retransition and I helped with that. Never knew her personally but respected the hell out of her for rejoining the good fight. Fuck.
I'm sad to share that the trans vet that took her life outside the VA last week was apparently Elisa Rae Shupe.

She's someone many of us know - she was responsible for the mass email leak that let us know how the ADF, Heritage, etc planned to enact trans eradication we see today.

RIP Elisa.

Honestly, I think this is true. Even some of the fake both-sides anti-trans "centrists" are sort of mumbling and upset with the way Trump is enacting the same policies they've been calling for for years.

Trump just makes bare exactly what's behind anti-trans sentiment.
