Send this to every Left wing NIMBY in existence, they must know that opposing building more Housing is EXACTLY what Trump wants! Ask them this: “Do you really oppose Trump? Or are you just a Closeted Fascist that’s pretending to be on the Left?”
Trump: If we build more housing, the price of homes will go down, and homeowners will lose their wealth.

One billion dollars for 1,000 homes? That’s an insane price of 1 million per home for “Affordable” housing. Repeal ULA, it’s literally still killing new housing in LA!
"ONE BILLION dollars" is enough for about 1,000 new homes. Measure ULA has killed tens of thousands of new homes annually.
🚨 HEY 🚨
Measure ULA has raised ONE BILLION dollars for affordable housing, but Mayor Bass is still trying to undermine the will of the people and steal that money for her money pit “Inside Safe”

Tell City Council to protect measure ULA!

That does not look like a fun place to live, glad it’s changed. 😬
Remember this picture, & others like it, every time you hear someone in your city say "we're not Amsterdam."

This was #Amsterdam in the 1970s.

Many of the cities we admire made better choices regarding cars in the past. and are still making better choices today.

Better choices instead of excuses.

Free parking shouldn’t be free, Every city that has LRT Should charge $10 (Minimum) per hour for parking. It would help close deficits, and help the agency improve their system. Hell, it could possibly even help pay for new Rail lines & stations.
I'm in the Marina right now (a Sunday) and there is functionally 100% parking occupancy within several blocks of where we're eating.

There is *no way* that SFMTA would lose money by charging for parking today.
It all comes back to operating expenses. Operating agencies are always* hunting for ways to economize on them.

So, parking is free on Sundays for the same reason that transit often doesn’t run at all. Lower trip volumes provide a rationale for curbing opex.

*subject to various constraints

Right wingers in the past: “Don’t tread on me! You can’t trust the government, OPEN CARRY LEGAL FOR EVERYONE!!!”

Right wingers now: “Yeah I believe whatever the government says over my own eyes, tread on me HARDER ORANGE JESUS!!! He had a GUN ICE had the RIGHT to MURDER him!!”

Remember when we all agreed Nixon was a crook when he did watergate? Well, Why can’t the right agree with the left that Trump is an EVEN bigger crook, and also bad at being president??? My personal theory is that most conservatives are far too bigoted and hateful to support Left wing policies…

Abolish ICE, and arrest every person associated with it. Imprison them for the rest of their lives.

Democrats can and must make it clear there will be trials and anyone even somewhat associated with ICE will face them. Maybe give a quit-your-job deadline on appeasement and give people 72 hours. I don't know. But currently the plan is to let them murder us in the street and get away with it.

"Parking meters cost $2.50 per hour and day rates range from $5 to $16."

Every single time moochers fill their diapers over a city not letting them store private property on public land for free, you should check to see how little they're actually being asked to pay.
San Diego’s new paid parking at Balboa Park has sparked widespread backlash as museum visits dropped and residents complained about the additional cost to access one of the cities most iconic spaces. bit.ly/49WVQC1

Sure, it works in practice, but does it work in theory?

The state should have banned LA from having any Local Control a long time ago. The legislator NEEDS to be more aggressive and upfront with NIMBY’s.

January 23, 2026 at 12:49 AM
You shouldn’t be allowed to be a member of a transit Board of directors if you oppose Transit oriented development! Also if you don’t regularly take transit atleast 5 days a week Minimum, you should be disqualified from being a board member too! This was a slap in the face to all LA METRO Riders…
L.A. Metro, the main transit operator for Los Angeles, just voted to oppose SB 79, a law legalizing the construction of housing near stations. You can't make this stuff up. Legislators should remember this the next time they come to Sacramento begging for more money.
