I’ve been watching a lot of @bobsheaux.bsky.social ‘s Land Before Time reviews by the daily. I thought why not also try my own spin on this beloved series. Thanks to him and RaisorBlade, I’m also going to apply all their fixes and criticisms. A comic and written take is soon~

Four species of cetacean can be found in the Seridic wetlands. Only the Seridic river dolphin (top) is a permanent resident. The other three (estuarine dolphin, river whale, and Crescent narwhal) venture with high waters during the wet season then retreat to estuaries and the gulf during dry months.

The ba'khar, a massive fish-specialized megaraptoran endemic to the Crescent of southern Ni'Khar, most abundant in the Seridic Wetlands. Males have a sail on their back for display and to anchor lifting muscles and ligaments of the neck. They also sport a pronged midline crest.

I've got more time and motivation now, so I wanted to revisit some old comic characters of mine. These are unrevealed characters from my webcomic- Rulith Rebel, which is on an indeterminate hiatus for now. Still, these characters hold such a special place in my heart.

Sketched an #inostrancevia this morning, playing around with the integument/skin covering. I kinda like the idea of treating the fur like sunblock and also to protect their softer bellies. I left the face partly bald for easier cleanup after big meals lol. #paleoart #watercolor #illustration
