What if, when we read a book and bump up against something that makes us uncomfortable (angry, confused, upset, offended, etc) instead of demanding the author only write what is acceptable to us, we hold that discomfort with compassion and use curiosity to see what it can teach us about ourselves?

“This thing can type your thoughts!”

I have never wanted anything less.
Listening to a podcast on brain-computer interfaces, and the host just said they can turn your thoughts into words.

Reader: I barely want my thoughts to be thoughts.

Imagine putting on all this tactical gear and latching onto a military assault vehicle so you can storm a minimall on Sepulveda and apprehend a line cook at family restaurant.
Heavily-armed DHS paramilitary forces in military vehicles fired dozens of stun grenades at a crowd of onlookers today in Los Angeles.

This is why threatening the territorial sovereignty of 🇨🇦 & 🇩🇰/🇬🇱 not only violates our NATO & UN treaty obligations but also requires immediate impeachment & removal. Either the law & constitution have basic meaning, or we have a Mad King. This stuff is the entire ballgame.
US treaties are part of the supreme law of the land.

I question whether a presidential directive to the US military to invade and annex the territory of a NATO ally would be a "lawful order."
