Joseph Brausen, 12, was pedaling on the sidewalk of Southeast 10th Avenue in Hillsboro when he was fatally struck by a driver last year. He was on his way to a park.

His parents have filed a $2M suit against 2 businesses on that street and local governments

Definitely an improvement over what was there before -- though it sure would be nice if this was magically facing the Park Blocks rather than 10th

UPDATE: A Texas military contractor rescinded its offer to lease land at the Newport Municipal Airport, city officials announced tonight.

But Newport believes ICE is still working to build a detention center somewhere on the Oregon Coast.

At the South Portland ICE facility, after pushing back the crowd to let some vehicles leave, agents gassed the street for approximately 10 minutes solid. S Bancroft was opaque with gas; agents also threw flash grenades and shot pepper bullets.
