MCP uses OAuth scopes for authorization, but they’re often coarse. You can add finer scopes or step-up auth, but there’s still no built-in way to dynamically enforce policy at the tool-operation level. That’s where @pomerium.io comes in. 👀 #mcp #agenticai

with atproto, how hard would it be to:

1. allow users to log into my blog
2. allow users to make comments to my blog posts
3. maintain moderation (it's my dang site after all!)

I really, REALLY don't want to have to implement auth myself or integrate with something silly like supabase ...

I hear and see your concerns. Over the weekend, a couple users hosted on Blacksky's PDS were banned from the Bluesky app and thus the Bluesky API servers. This was a weakness of our system I've been aware of and hoped we had more time to address before any kind of public incident. 1/11

oh nooo it ain’t the library’s fault, it’s just currently implemented with multiple layers in a prod codebase that’s hard to debug, so it’s hard for me to read, especially since i’m still getting used to the names slice, reducers, thunks etc.

I don't think we can pitch decentralization as a solution to people who want a bad account banned because they're not trying to fix what they see in their own feeds, they're trying to control what I see in mine.

Fixing their own feeds is already accomplished by blocking and going on with your day
