No, not everyone!
In 2024, the left ran a successful campaign, beating both the far right and the Macronists.
Macron chose not to appoint a prime minister from the left-wing coalition.
Who is to blame then?
This is a bad time for France to be in such a political mess. One should not spare from blame the voters, who keep choosing the most irresponsible politicians
France is paralysed, and everyone is to blame
The budgetary impasse is just one symptom of collective political uselessness

It’s becoming increasingly likely it’s a right block vs left to centre block coalition at the next election.

He drives me fucking nuts.

I'm a leftist who wants a coalition to fix shit; my mantra is "let's fight later". I work with a lot of good dem folk! But Schumer doesn't represent them, and a lot of *them* hate him. And explaining that to people for productivity is so much work, over and over.

What do you think this does to the chances of a Tory / Reform electoral pact or post-election coalition?

Yeah, the essential problem is that she thinks that she can form a coalition against her “ethnic enemies”, and doesn’t realise that is just a bonkers position to hold.

Using weapons like this against their own people was one of the reasons people frequently gave to defend the US invading Iraq.

Just saying.

Maybe there's a "coalition of the willing" that can come for us? I promise, I'll greet you as liberators.

And Offord used to be a high ranking Tory.

It's clear the Right hate the NHS. And remember, as a Coalition minister, the LibDem Norman Lamb wanted to make all NHS hospitals "mutuals" and no longer owned by the public. LibDems hate NHS principles too
There it is.

Farage and Reform would end our NHS.

Millions of people could not afford to be ill under a Reform government.

Like, I don't get what you think political parties or elections are. If your first priority is beating Reform regardless of who gets in, that's a fine and worthy goal, but then either have a platform which attracts a broad coalition or push tactical voting even where it doesn't benefit Labour.

If they join forces in an attempt to regain ground, they will become a major force capable of challenging the ruling coalition.
Such a development could reshape the landscape of the next Lower House election and potentially lead to a future political realignment.
The CDPJ and Komeito, both struggling to rebuild their political strength, have grown increasingly alarmed at the prospect of Takaichi dissolving the Lower House at the outset of the ordinary Diet session convening on January 23 for an election likely on February 8.
Ahead of a snap election expected within weeks, the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan (CDPJ 立憲民主党) and Komeito (公明党), two opposition parties that advocate a middle-of-the-road platform, agreed to form a new political party.

And when accountability comes knocking, we fight it with such force that it requires our own destruction in the process.

This is what it means to be a member of the Coalition of the Wounded.

And until we commit, without compromise, to healing, the future we claim to want will remain out of reach.

Backed by Nancy, Republicans... and worst of all Reagan-Democrats, in the form of both the voting base & Dem lawmakers... weakening the New Deal coalition & creating a "schism" in the Dem Party that it has never recovered from.

Nothing happens in a vacuum.

Tories were in power for nearly a decade after the Lib Dems left govt and Osborne carried on cutting and cutting and cutting. In 2010, Labour had promised to make the same cuts to the budget as the coalition govt did following the global financial crisis.
