Yeah, there are two main ways to do weighted choice, which is a form of rated/cardinal voting: 1) Everyone gets eg 100 votes to distribute among candidates; 2) Everyone rates each candidate from eg 1-10

With both, each voter’s total influence is equal, how they allocate it is up to them.

Part of the problem with regulating gambling is that it's already providing a ton of revenue to state budgets. So any effort to cut down on eg skill games is cutting the amount of money that goes into education budgets. This is especially true in the South

Also preserved in Afrikaans. When I was at school, exam papers were in English and Afrikaans. Our science teacher actually advised us – if we could remember what a term meant – to read the Afrikaans. Because it's more literal. Eg. "miscible" in Afrikaans is "mengbaar".
