*cough* nissan's 280ZX was doing this in 1979, honda really got under way with the 2nd gen civic, the sea change was already well underway by the third gen accords (i had a 1983 model and aside from the shifter being a little vague it was great)

My “quick-ish” threshold is the low 8.0 sec 0-60 range. Growing up for me that was, like, Fiero GT or 280ZX 2+2 range.

In the next 10 years someone is going to do a rocket bunny / rauh-welt / liberty walk style 280ZX in a retro 80s restomod fashion and it's going to go big. All the current 280ZX builds keep trying to make it look like an inferior version of a 240Z instead of embracing the 80s-ness.

Aside from the tickets. I stayed getting pulled over because my tint was dark. I sold it after a year and half. I got tired of getting pulled over. Those old 280ZX had great brake, 4 wheel discs back in the early 1980s was almost unheard of.
