Hear @rianjohnson.bsky.social last night talking about how Agatha Christie and Curtain in particular started his mystery journey and inspired the Knives Out series.

At the moment, I'm regrettably not reading Agatha Christie in a Scottish Highlands cottage during a raging snowstorm whilst enjoying a plate of emotional support scones, so no, I'm afraid your email did not "find me well."

Do you agree with Agatha Christie?

Oh how I love those gloriously unhinged vintage Christie covers.

13) Agatha Christie at Christmas

Be it books, buttocks or another Miss Marple or Poirot re-watch, Christie has, and always will be, factored in somewhere during the festive season!

Clerical detectives may be a highly specific field, but it's one explored by Umberto Eco, Agatha Christie, and most recently Rian Johnson. @leahschnelbach.bsky.social presents an ironclad ranking of the holiest sleuths across genre!
An Infallible Ranking of Crime-Solving Clergy - Reactor
There's a surprising amount of crossover between sleuthing and pastoral care.

There's the famous Agatha Christie line about not being able to imagine being too poor to afford a servant, or wealthy enough to afford a car.

(Then things changed fast enough that she bought a car in the next few years without becoming hugely wealthier)

In which I add The Mysteries of Harris Burdick and Agatha Christie to the Blue Prince evidence board, alongside @emilyprice.bsky.social’s keen observations of Piranesi and its parallels to the aforementioned game.
"You search for room 46, but also for the ephemeral legacies of your family and its place in the wider world."

@phoenixsimms.bsky.social digs into the non-videogame influences behind Blue Prince's environments:
Negative Spatial Awareness - Unwinnable
Environmental storytelling and puzzles are at their best when they’re kept simple and almost subliminal.

My winter vacation starts in 2 days, in which I will be holed up in my snowy Maine cottage with an Agatha Christie novel, a warm dog on my lap, a kettle on the stove, and a crackling fire, and I CANNOT WAIT

Today we're diving into a fresh slate of mysteries, as Jogoro finds his summer break interrupted by both Kengo and Osanai's fresh fascinations. My man just wanted to reach his Agatha Christie, but greater things are in store as we return to Shoushimin Series!

Hey Heather!

I think it's safe to say that this is the type of thing I would be VERY into drawing! In this house we love a good murder mystery.

Remember when A&E had Wuthering Heights, Horatio Hornblower, and Agatha Christie. And when the History Channel carried programs about history?

Do references to Agatha Christie pull you into a mystery? Nearly 50 years after her death, Christie still pops up frequently, for better or worse. Colleen Cambridge's series featuring Christie's fictional housekeeper, Phyllida Bright, is worthy of the Christie name. femalesleuths.com/2025/12/09/a...

Looking for a tv series of Whodunnits (not written by Agatha Christie, that's covered) where the story is fair so all the clues are available to the audience and the whodunnit is solvable.

Any suggestions welcome. Fairness to the audience with the clues is the most important part to me.

Rian Johnson has done several of my favorite Agatha Christie subgrenres—country house murder, murder in an exotic locale, gothic novel-inspired murder—and now I’m waiting for my favorite “murder on a mode of international transportation”

Poe, Dorothy e Agatha Christie também são citados.
