#Atlantic
Pretty sure we’ve always had folks who liked walking and were good at not being a dick when they didn’t speak the local language. How long could going from the Atlantic to the Pacific take, 3, 4 years? What about a some dude from Baghdad traveling to Rome? Is he not them in Europe, knowing of China?

NATO needs to initiate a parallel organization that doesn't include the US, but could add Pacific members like Australia, Japan, South Korea, etc.

Call it Atlantic Pacific Treaty Organization or something

Yesterday, I noticed a faded but still legible sign outside of the FAA HQ in DC, at 7th & Independence. I stopped & learned it was a notorious location in the chattel slave trade.
There’s no webpage at the link to GSA, but
historians remember, so all Americans can:

Historically, the mindset is "under wire as much as possible". This is changing, but pretty slowly.

So I say: do a pilot!

Qualify some operators at Atlantic Base on the route, and just run it off hours. See how it does. With no changes.

Imagine this takes off, goes back across the Atlantic, then every away fan who rolls up in Utah is chanting 'So fuck off Karl Malone son, you're going down for noncing, you're a paedophile' and the ESPN commentators have to explain it to people watching on tv in the South bsky.app/profile/reut...

Malcolm is a CT ike dad so in the same vein of

THE NORTH ATLANTIC? WE'VE BLED TOGETHER

He mentions Ft Meade but also - we taught europe everything we know. Say goodbye to UK/US intelligence sharing.

not to mention all the civilian jobs
This is the Malcolm Nance post I mentioned the other day with alt text

We are wedged. On the one hand holding onto the apron strings of the US and UK. On the other being an ally of Europe. In same place as the UK. We need to throw off the colonial mindset and take our place in the APAC, not pretend we live in the North Atlantic

The Justice Department already missed its December deadline to release the Epstein files—and now it’s struggling to defend the delay, @willgottsegen.com argues in The Atlantic Daily:
What’s Going on With the Epstein Files?
Less than 1 percent of them have been released.

He needs to be sending the US Coastguard boat currently sitting in Aberdeen Harbour back across the Atlantic. No point criticising if he's still allowing us to be used as a strategic outpost.

Let's guess: Faroe Islands (Denmark) and Svalbard (Norway) might be next. They want to control the North Atlantic.

In the six-plus years since, every mental health professional I have come across has told me that my essay had it exactly right. I think every word of it has been proven right many times over.

Even today, he's still only going to get worse.

Denmark would be fully justified in invoking Article 4 of the North Atlantic Charter:

“The Parties will consult together whenever, in the opinion of any of them, the territorial integrity, political independence or security of any of the Parties is threatened.”

Hasn't escaped my notice the stories from Union magazines--Harpers, Atlantic, etc--range from "ripped from the headlines" to romance, spy, domestic, broad humor, etc. while whatever their professed genre the Confederate ones are grievance, grievance, grievance, grievance, grievance all the way home.

Bought this a while ago because other eras' popular fiction is always historically interesting (& it was on sale) but it's fairly perfect reading right now for obvious reasons. The Atlantic should give up its current schtick & just re-publish random Henry Beecher stories from the vaults instead.
