Everything fell apart when the human came aboard. Instead of nice meals and quiet cargo runs, Tai's stuck with bickering crewmates, sinister criminals, explosions, and worse, a human who wants to be friends. #QuestPit #SF #A #Q #R #LGBT

Canada made weird tv shows because it was all being done with government funded art grant money so they fell in this wacky middle ground between “shoestring budget” and “no expectation to generate shareholder value” which is really the best way to make art

#NovemberWorldBuilders 26: Since the Nivoréan destruction of Bir Inta 150 years ago, rumours and theories have exploded surrounding the events before and after—as well as just what the perpetrators thought they were doing that resulted in the vicious scar that is the modern-day Intian Desert. (1/14)
#NovemberWorldbuilders Heya, friends! In your fictional world, are there any lies or conspiracy theories (or maybe just incorrect beliefs) about a historical event? Is the government of your (fictional) world hiding anything? Please keep it fictional! No real-world stuff here, please!

This "it's good that I pirate from indie authors" nonsense is like being mad about Monsanto's patent abuse so you dig up your neighbours' vegetable garden and steal their carrots.

*Always* tell authors when you like their stuff.

It's an emotional high that we'll ride for days.

This is an absolutely vile thing to put the families of WV National Guardsmen through. You don't say this stuff until you're sure, and until you've got someone out at the parents' house to tell them.
Annnnnnd now the West Virginia governor says he's not sure about the condition of the National Guardsmen.

Maybe best to not tweet out that they are both dead until, you know, you KNOW that is absolutely the case...

Canadians all know which show this is referring to, and that there's a roughly 50-50 chance that they totally had an episode like this.
Didn’t they also do one where he met Sherlock Holmes and/or Dracula or was that a fever dream still very based on reality?

AND if you borrow an ebook, the book just comes right onto your phone and you don't have to bother dragging it across from the book piracy site. It's actually easier to get the thing from the library, people.
Anybody who is like “Piracy is activism!”—trust me, supporting your local library is about 1000% more effective activism, and it’s still free for you and authors still get paid!

people always stereotype Canadians as being polite, and its not true at all. We are passive-agressive weirdos who live in isolated weird places and the sooner we make peace with that the better

I think if Canada wants to have a strong cultural identity we need to go back to doing what we're best at, making the weirdest fucking TV shows you've ever seen

Canadian TV is amazing. The Murdoch Mysteries writing room is like, "should we make another episode with Nikola Tesla?"
best we've got right now is Murdoch Mysteries, a detective show set in late 1800's Toronto, where the lead characters regularly invent modern technology by accident. Detective Murdoch created the Roomba. Tatiana Maslany's brother plays a gay jewish cop. It's incredible.

#NovemberWorldBuilders 23 At the time of the Fall of Trévandor, the Opal Throne was occupied by Cielmère Lisandra VII, chosen heir of her mother, Matiana I. When Nivor lost contact with the motherland, Lisandra's shiftless grandson Melivinan was named Prince of Nivor & Protector of Valsorelle.(1/3)

Nia, the problem with playing "yes, and" with a grifter you don't know is that the two of you can talk yourselves into an extremely complicated and expensive cover story.

In generative AI's defense, it gave me a spiritual experience. I never believed in a soul until I saw "art" that was created by something without one.
