The Saxo-Norman St. Andrew, Bishopston, with its C10 nave & porticus, and C12 tower. Bishopstone, South Downs. East Sussex. The sundial is C10 and bears the name EADRIC whowas possibly a C9 Sussex Earl. The Sussex Downs Saxon churches are treasures to be looked after.

Had fun interpreting maps and photos from 'Walk, Talk, Look' session at Newhaven's Eastside. Noticed the stream and tree line (poplar and alder) following an old seawall route & field boundaries. The field boundaries turned out to also be a manorial boundary between Meeching and Bishopstone. Result!
