An upcoming project will be a moderation inbox to move notifications on moderation decisions from email into the app. This will allow us to send a higher volume of notifications, and be more transparent about the moderation decisions we are taking on content.

The daily active user count from Similarweb points to the first threat being serious.

A bunch of people tried Bluesky then quit but instead of stabilizing after that, it has been spiraling.
Chart of Bluesky daily active users based on SimilarWeb's analysis. It first opened at 9.9 million in September 2024 then fell to 5.8 in October. It rose to 6.6 through December, flatlined through February, and has lost users every month since, down to 3.5 million in October 2025.

Bsky talks about user count but never talks about *ACTIVE* user count.

This is the only data I can find on active user activity over the past 3 months and it tells a different story, including
8.7M unique users on Bluesky at least once in the last 90 days.

That's under 1/4 active over 90 days?
