Yeah, it's so incredibly individual. FWIW, the anecdotal evidence I've seen (RIP, Crazymeds) is that duloxetine is WAY far over on the "difficult as fuck to discontinue" spectrum, and most of the ADHD meds are a lot easier.

*actually back when crazymeds was a thing i recall seeing ex heroin users saying effexor withdrawal was worse, a statement that i didn't have context for until experiencing it earlier this year

i can't compare the two myself but it WAS fucking horrible so i don't think folks were exaggerating

And yeah, there needs to be more research and people need to be more aware as you said in the piece. I found the long gone website crazymeds hugely helpful decades ago though dire stories about withdrawal symptoms may have caused me to stay on some drugs longer than I should've. Hate switching.

What people don't know about my #HarmOCD is, that from the time that I open my eyes in the morning, until I close them at night, my mind is torturing me with violent intrusive unwanted thoughts and images. #CrazyMeds and #therapy help... but won't make my demons go away.

that crazymeds link is a bad one now, I'm familiar with the old site though.

When I tried prozac it was very bad for me. I've tried just about everything and bupropion has worked best. still not great, but better thanthe others. talking about adding lexapro for anxiety mostly
